 A VOICE FROM THE BLESSED RAUZA MUBARAK

Hadrat Ali Radi Allahu Anhu narrates,

“Three days after the burial of the Beloved Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, a Bedouin presented himself in front of the sacred Rauda and placed its sand on his head, saying,

“O Messenger of Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala, we paid attention to everything you said, and one of the things you conveyed to us was,

ولو أنهم إذ ظلموا أنفسهم جائوك فاستغفروا الله واستغفر لهم الرسول لوجدوا الله توابا رحيما

“If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto you and sought Allah’s Subhanahu Wata’ala forgiveness, and the Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam had asked for forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful.”

– Surah Nisaa, Verse 64

The Bedouin continued,

“For this reason, O Rasoolullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, I’ve been unjust to myself, so I’m now presenting myself in your court seeking forgiveness for my sins.”

As soon as he said this, a voice was heard from the blessed Rauda saying, 
“Go. Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala has forgiven you.”

Our Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam remains an ocean of mercy for us, even after his wisal.
